Will Run for Medals (and Mickey)

I’ve been wanting to start a blog for years. Like, actual years. But I kept dragging my feet—mostly because I have too many passions and the internet kept shouting at me that I needed a niche. Spoiler alert: I still don’t have one. So instead of overthinking it any longer, I’ve decided to just share what I love: Disney, fur babies, and our new “passion”—running. And I say “running” in the loosest sense possible. Let’s be real: I’m in it for the bling. If there’s a shiny medal at the end, I’ll trot a few miles for it.

Naturally, all these passions come with a side of travel. I’ve been the unofficial (and unpaid) travel planner for friends and family for years—mostly to Disneyland and Disney World. Now, we’re throwing RunDisney into the mix, because why not combine magical chaos with sore legs and early morning wake-up calls?
So here we are: training (ish) for our first half marathon this September at Disneyland. When I say “training,” I mostly mean not getting swept by the Balloon Ladies. That’s the goal. Finish the race. Get the bling. Eat a churro.
Welcome to the adventure!
